The NGI initiative, specifically NGI Search, was showcased at the Academy of Management annual conference. The Academy of Management is a prominent professional association of scholars committed to generating and disseminating knowledge about management and organisations.
The Annual Meeting stands as the world’s premier event for scholarly engagement and the largest gathering of management and organisation scholars globally, with over 10,000 attendees this year.
The NGI initiative was introduced during one of the workshops organised there by Madalina Pop and Leonhard Dobusch – Unconferencing SAP. The presentation aimed to gather feedback and input on establishing a research project on the organising practices of the NGI Search beneficiaries. The project was met with interest, and the audience put forth several ideas for potentially exciting research topics in the context. These suggestions could aid policymakers in further empowering and assisting in the organisation of these communities.
