What future for the Internet?

NGI Open Forum session (OF #21) at the IGF 2018

What future for the Internet” will be one of the Open Forum sessions (OF #21) on the 13th of November from 12:20-13:20. It is organised under theme Emerging Technologies with Subtheme Internet Ethics.

The session will provide an update on the state of the art of the European Commission Next Generation Internet initiative and how the Internet Governance narrative will feed into it.

For the first time since the creation of the IGF, France hosts this forum organized annually by the United Nations. For the entire French internet community, it is a great pride. The Government, civil society, the private sector, the academic world work together and in close relationship with the General Secretariat of the United Nations and Unesco so that as many as possible can participate in the best conditions to this major global internet event.
