Digital Commons are among the core assets to pursue Europe’s Digital Sovereignty. Several initiatives and calls for actions are gaining traction, striving to bring real benefits to individuals and organisations by ensuring open, inclusive and decentralised access to digital resources in line with the core principles and action of the Next Generation Internet (NGI) Initiative.

DAPSI Final Event #3 was hosted last week in Paris (and online) by Cap Digital and DAPSI partners – Zabala, F6S, IMT Starter, Fraunhofer IAIS and Engineering.
On 28 September 2022 – Gemma Carolillo, Deputy Head of Next Generation Internet Unit, European Commission, presented the NGI initiative at the Connect University Autumn School Secure & Sustainable Digital Infrastructures.

NGI ultimately addresses the need for a more fair, safe, resilient, sustainable, human-centred and decentralised internet. Equity, Diversity and Inclusion are the backbones of this envisioned future.
