A set of Data Principles are being prepared by the Government of Finland. The Data Economy is a strategic focus area during Finland’s current Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
YOU are invited to rate and comment on contending data principles up for discussion.
Access the online data principles platform here and give your view on what is important and why: https://dataprinciples2019.fi/
Views from this open discussion will be taken into account at the High-Level Conference on the Data Economy, to be held in Helsinki, Finland in November in November and a set of conclusions will be released, as well as recommendations on horizontal principles for a European data economy.
The data principles are based on EU-level discussions about the data economy, conversations with stakeholders in Finland and abroad, and outcomes of workshops attended by other ministry experts in Finland. The aim of the data principles is to guide towards a sustainable, competitive and human-centric data economy in the European Union.
The platform will be open until 31.10.2019 so feel free to participate and voice your ideas!
