The EC developed the concept of Energy Communities to implement micro- grids without facing the costs required for adapting the network infrastructure. This model was presented through the set of standards contained in the Clean Energy Package.
An energy community can be defined as a set of user, who organise themselves into energy associations to cooperate as if they were a micro-grid but without changing the network topology. Energy communities aim to maximise the collective consumption of self-produced energy by contributing to the reduction of network charges. This can only be achieved through the adoption of digital tools for community governance, in terms of maximizing self- consumption and in terms of managing revenues from energy sharing among community members.
We will implement a full stack platform for Energy Community that secures data through Blockchain and use a token to promote virtuous attitudes and can be used to buy services in the Energy Community.

Enduser Relevance

The expected benefits are the increase of the energy community members engagement through a token that can be earned and spent immediately following virtuous attitudes. This is possible through Smart Contracts, data certifications and ERC-20 tokens.
