• How to embed within a dataset in a least intrusive manner some extra information for recording who the original owner of the dataset is.
• Manipulate the relative frequency of different items in the dataset in order to construct a frequency watermark.
• Way more efficient than multimedia watermarks for images, audio, and video. Can protect a dataset even in off-chain settings.

Enduser Relevance

Having the ability to establish strong ownership over data is a pre-requisite for the growth of the much-anticipated data economy. Without this, any malicious data buyer can copy the original data and resell it at the expense of the original owner.
