GPP is a tool to promote and consolidate global citizenship and better address the multifaceted phenomenon of modern migrations. It is a blockchain-based platform with a website and mobile app through which migrants and refugees access verified information about their rights as well as the solidarity structures in transit/destination countries. This is intended to contribute to bottom-up, reliable information on migration. It can also be an instrument for social workers and researchers. It will include a DocWallet in which migrants can upload their education or medical records. GPP will be the first non-military mapping of migration routes, fostering the creation of a network among organizations on the ground, the dissemination of correct information, and the creation of a new narrative on migrations, which includes migrants’ own accounts of the experiences and abuses they suffered, in order to ensure the respect of their rights and advocate for the compliance to basic human rights.
