DESCRIPTION:Results of the EuroDIG2022 Call for Issues\nWe are back from our seasonal break and have received many insightful proposals in the Call for Issues in the past weeks. You can find the breakdown of submissions as well as all submissions on our website: https://www.eurodig.org/get-involved/planning-process/#tab-call-for-issues \nWe called all European stakeholders to identify the topics which should be part of the EuroDIG2022 programme. Mark your calendars\, this year’s event will take place June 20-22 in Trieste\, Italy and online. \nYOUthDIG2022 – Application is open\nWe are looking for 30 young people from all over Europe (members states at the Council of Europe) to participate in YOUthDIG2022\, a pre-event programme which prepares young people who are interested about topics related to the Internet to become active participants in EuroDIG. \nDuring YOUthDIG\, newcomers learn about Internet Governance\, and discuss and exchange ideas with experienced Internet policy practitioners but also experience peer-to-peer learning and networking. Participants will be actively involved by developing policy messages that you will be presented at EuroDIG but also the global IGF. \nWe encourage all interested individuals aged 18 to 30 to apply until February 10: https://www.eurodig.org/get-involved/youthdig/

SUMMARY:EuroDIG 2021
DESCRIPTION:EuroDIG2021 takes place June 28-30\nAfter consulting with the EuroDIG partners\, the community\, and our host\, the ICTP in Trieste\, the date for EuroDIG2021 can be confirmed for June 28-30\, 2021. This includes\, as is the EuroDIG tradition\, a Day 0 in which organisations and initiatives can present their work\, and engage with the community\, followed by two full days of multi-stakeholder workshops\, high-level sessions\, and new formats. Mark your calendars\, we hope that many of you can participate. We are aware that schedules fill up quickly and finding suitable dates was a challenging task.\nOur youth participation programme “YOUthDIG” will take place June 26-28\, 2021. More information on how to participate will be shared in a few weeks. \nThe next EuroDIG meeting will be planned as a hybrid format\, with both an on-site event in Trieste\, and remote participation options. While remote participation has been a longstanding practice at EuroDIG meetings\, new ways to enhance the experience can build on the lessons learned in 2020. \nOur experience of this year has also shown: planning an in-person gathering is subject to an increased level of uncertainty in times of a pandemic. The EuroDIG Secretariat\, partners and the host will continuously evaluate the situation\, so changes to the format might ensue if needed. \nYOU can shape EuroDIG2021\nThe programme of EuroDIG2021 is shaped by you\, the EuroDIG community. In an easy online form\, you can now submit up to three proposals for issues. Thereby\, you can tell us what the most important European Internet policy themes are and what needs to be talked about next year. Just submit your idea(s) on our website. These are not proposals for sessions\, so you do not need to worry about the format or potential speakers at this point. DESCRIPTION:EuroDIG this year will be a virtual meeting from June 10 – 12\, 2020.\nOur host The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) together with the Italian cooperation partners and EuroDIG have built strong ties to the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) and therefore EuroDIG will remain a satellite event in the overall programme of ESOF. \nTrieste is the European City of Science in 2020 and EuroDIG will be a satellite event in the overall programme. \nThe overarching theme for EuroDIG 2020 is: “Towards a sustainable governance of the Internet” – and is aligning with the themes that have been identified by the EuroScience Open Forum.

SUMMARY:EuroDIG 2018
DESCRIPTION:The next EuroDIG will take place on 5 – 6 June 2018 (plus day zero) in Tbilisi in Georgia\, in Rooms Hotel. It will be hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. \nDuring the join call for issues 261 submissions were received for both\, the 2018 EuroDIG and SEEDIGprogramme. Subject Matter Experts reviewed all proposals that where submitted for EuroDIG and clustered them into thematic subtopics. A draft programme outline was discussed during the public planning meeting on 1 February 2018 in Tbilisi and was open for comments 2 weeks thereafter. \nIt is now time to fine tune the consolidated programme and to invite everyone to shape the sessions! \nEuroDIG is not a conference; it is a year round dialogue of European stakeholders\, where everyone is welcome to join at any stage. \nMore information on the event web.
